AROMATIC LIFESTYLE to phyto fragrance

Essential oils provide plants with protection against environmental threats and play a role in plant pollination. In addition to their intrinsic benefits to plants and being beautifully fragrant to people, essential oils have long been used for food preparation, beauty treatment, and health-care practices such as immune support, respiratory health, stress relief and emotional balance. In fact, some of the most exquisitely fragrant essential oils are capable of fighting seasonal threats, lifting our spirits and calming our minds.

In the first part of this beginner’s class, you will learn the basics of essential oils as we discuss the science behind their powerful therapeutic benefits, how essential oils are produced, and how to use them for a more natural, healthy lifestyle.  In the second half of the class, students will blend their oils to create a natural, custom perfume in class. We will discuss how essential oils are classified as top, middle or base notes, blending processes, and how to care for your natural perfume once it is blended. Each student who registers for class will produce a 1oz therapeutic perfume and receive their own curated selection of essential oils to take home.
